Fri 3-6 pm Bartier Bros & Haywire

Alison Scholefield from Okanagan Crush Pad will be pouring:

  • 2010 Bartier Scholefield White
This is a REFRESHING cocktail of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay. The wine was grown in the South end of the Okanagan Valley at the Wise Brothers’ vineyard in Oliver. The wine is a true expression of fruit with non-interventionist techniques used in vinification. No barrels were used, just tanks. Lees contact was significant and contributed much to the mid palate of this wine. $18.99
  • Haywire Switchback 2011 Pinot Gris
The wine has a crisp acidity, juicy apricot flavours and a chalky, limestone taste along with a flinty finish which is the hallmark of clone 52. It is all bundled up with a silver label to denoted that it is one of the vineyard designated wines we are most proud of this season. $23
  • Bartier Scholefield 2010 Rose
100% Gamay Noir from the Wise Brothers’ vineyard in Oliver.  Skin contact with the juice was allowed for a few hours.  Very intriguing, very good. $18.99
  • 2008 Bartier Scholefield Red
Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, all grown on the clay bench northeast of Penticton. All manner of macerations were used in this, punchdowns, pump overs, pump unders, rack and return, you name it. . . Two and a half years of aging in neutral barrels! $25
