For this week, we are excited to have a super line-up of wines for you to try. First, on Friday from 3-6pm we will be featuring the wines of the native co-venture NKMip Winery in Osoyoos. NKMip Winery is situated in one of the hottest spots in the Okanagan Valley and boasts some of the biggest reds. Here is the line-up:

2009 NKMip Pinot Blanc

This wine is bright and lively with an explosion of pineapple and tropical notes followed by a crisp, racy finish. Generous notes of citrus with an underlying mineral nuance complete this well balanced wine. Reg $16.99 Sale $15.99

2008 Qwam Qwamt Chardonnay

These Chardonnay grapes were whole bunch pressed to extract the highest quality of wine. Complete Malolactic fermentation during 10 months in French oak barrels developed the unique bouquet and mouth feel. Rich and nutty in flavor offering lots of caramel, marzipan and pear. Enticing and aromatic with subtle layering of honey and pineapple lead to an intriguing vanilla finish. $24.99

2009 NKMip Merlot

This wine weaves intricate flavors of plum, cassis and fresh tobacco that layer harmoniously with subtle clove and cocoa leading into a concentrated toasty finish. $19.99

2007 Qwam Qwamt Syrah

A Silver medal winner at the 2010 International New World International Wine Competition, this wine was aged in French and American oak for 18 months.  Full red berry, plum and jam flavors rush forward with cedar box and cracked pepper to create an intriguing balance. Chewy tannins linger on the palate and harmonize with a soft vanilla finish.

2008 Qwam Qwamt Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded1 of only 7 Silver medals at the 2011 Canadian Wine Awards. This Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in a combination of 80% French Oak and 20% American Oak for a period of 18 months. Rich with dried black fruit and cassis wrapped in toasty, spicy cedar the Cab leads the palate to contemplate complex flavors of berry, vanilla, coffee, capsicum and cherry.

Saturday 3-6pm Canadian Wine Awards -Silver medallists and One Gold!

Need I say more? Only a very few wines are awarded Gold and very few Silver at The Canadian Wine Awards. Here is Saturday’s line-up.

2010 Arrowleaf Gewürztraminer

2010 Joie Rose – only 2 awarded silver, no Gold

2009 Gray Monk Odyssey Merlot

2008 Desert Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

2009 Kraze Legs Black Bottom Stomp

And to cap the pouring, only 2 wines were awarded Gold for Red Blends. We will be pouring our 2008 Clos Du Soleil Signature!
