The unique attributes of each clone and each vineyard contribute to the complexity of the blend. Together they showcase the typical varietal character Pinot Noir expresses in this region. The wine is aged in French oak puncheons for 12 months to add structure and finesse. Solstice Pinot Noir reflects the essence of our surroundings and our commitment to quality. A medium-bodied Pinot Noir showing cherry, raspberry, hints of spice, rose petal and subtle, well-integrated oak components. On the palate it is silky, yet it has the structure and flavor to be paired with rich dishes such as duck confit or an earthy mushroom risotto.

It has a medium body and wonderfully supple tannins. It’s a wine for Italian sausage, spaghetti with meatballs, burgers, and braised short ribs.

It shows hints of Christmas cake and classic white pepper notes. Soft and supple, with a fine grained structure and excellent length. The toast and red/black fruits are very apparent on the mid palate. Drinking fabulously right now, this wine will integrate more over time and become more elegant.

At 24% of the blend, Malbec brings out the best in the Cabernet Franc (39%), Merlot (26%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (8%) and Petit Verdot (3%) that make up the rest of the Meritage. And by deciding to make our Meritage a full one-fourth Malbec, we’re not just using it as the ultimate team player, but also bringing its own jammy, blueberry notes to the forefront — something that makes this plush red blend really stand out. All our winemaking decisions get the same attention to detail as the Meritage does. And the results show in every bottle. On that, you have our word. A Not-So-Little, Little Thing: The Cabernet Franc in this blend is from our Haynes Creek Vineyard in Osoyoos. Planted in 2007/08, its maturity is just beginning to reveal itself. Tasting Notes We smell - An herbal quality. Almost the leaf of a raspberry. Food Pairing Notes Civet de sanglier (wild boar stew). Other Notes We’d also pair it with Gustav Mahler’s, Symphony No. 2. The grapes were handpicked off of both the Ex Nihilo Estate vineyard and the Seacrest Rd vineyard in late October. Whole cluster press and fermented in La Garde stainless tanks. The Gris went through a long, cool fermentation with extended time on lees. This bright Pinot Gris boasts complexity with a round medium bodied mouthfeel and balanced acidity. Aromas of ripe pear, apricots and sweet spring fruit blossoms capture the senses. Flavours of peaches, dried apricots with hints of pink grapefruit that tease the palate. The finish is satisfying with lingering orchard stone fruits and citrus.

Fitz Brut is our signature Cuvée, which is a French term for blend. Ours is made with a combination of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and starting in 2015, a hint of Meunier.
We take a vintage approach to our Brut much like the Grower Champagnes of France where we adjust the blend percentages from vintage to vintage and strive to evoke a clear statement on the year, terroir and people who contributed to the wine’s development. Fitz Brut spends no less than 24 months aging on lees.

This five grape blend has a little bit of something for everyone in it, and contains all of the white grapes grown at our estate vineyard. Technically-speaking, it’s the second press of our grapes – the first press going to the varietal wines – that we set aside specifically for a white blend. The 2016 vintage is a substantial wine owing both to the heat of the vintage as well as the 40% Chardonnay and 30% Gewurztraminer that make up the majority of the finished wine. Ripe peach, lychee and rose petal on the nose. Slightly sweet, but not quite off dry, Runabout has excellent balance between acidity and sweetness that makes for an approachable, versatile wine. Every white grape planting and every soil type at our estate vineyard is represented in this blend – a true taste of the estate. Throw some whole rainbow trout on the BBQ. 621 cases produced. Blend: 40% Chardonnay, 30% Gewürztraminer, 11% Ehrenfelser, 11% Riesling, 8% Pinot Blanc.

Small scale production results it an early sell-out every vintage. Over the last few seasons, extra care in the vineyard have brought these old vines to excellent health. An early and consistently warm 2015 summer produced some of the best fruit we have had from these blocks. In fact, the winemaking team is so excited we pushed for an early release! Bright aromas of wild flowers and field berries, red cherry and raspberry on the palate, and a juicy finish that goes on and on. . . this Rosé is a blend of primarily Merlot with bits of Syrah, and Cabernet Franc. Cheese! Charcuterie! Smoked salmon! A super ripe vineyard block of Merlot was crushed directly to the press, given 4 hrs skin contact, then pressed and blended with small portions of juice drained (saignée) during cold soak from blocks of Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Fermented cool in stainless steel leaving a small amount of residual sugar remaining, for an off-dry finish.

Ripe Pinot Gris grapes are a bluish colour, giving the wine a deep coral hue, or just a hint of pale straw. These grapes were grown in three vineyards, one in East Kelowna, the second on a West facing slope in Oyama, and the third in the Davis Vineyard, located beside our wine shop. An early start to the growing season allowed the fruit to ripen with fantastic flavours of lychee, strawberry, and Asian pear. Elegant rhubarb and honey aromas combine to create a full bodied wine balanced with a touch of acidity. Try this Pinot Gris with garlic prawns, lemon Greek potatoes, or candied bacon.

Fortissimo is our way of paying respect to the pioneers of Tuscany who challenged the traditions of winemaking in the 50s and 60s to gain recognition for their wines. 2015 Fortissimo is comprised of 63% Merlot,17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Sangiovese and 9% Cabernet Franc. Albeit young, this wine is as outstanding as we thought it would be; all the components are married seamlessly together. The large format puncheons and Hungarian/Slavonian oak are evident in the subtle way the oak is present. Overall the wine has fantastic layers of flavour and nuances. Bing cherry mingles with red and black cherry fruit. Herbal underbrush notes meet tobacco notes and damp earth. One built for early to mid-term drinking, as well as cellaring with a medium+ aging curve ahead. Pair with Veal Osso Bucco or Tuscan Roast Lamb with a rosemary crust.

This version of Cliffhanger Red is comprised of Malbec and Merlot grapes that were produced on the Anastasia vineyard. Bottling took place after 4 months in French oak, creating mouth-watering aromas of raspberries, blackberries, and cassis married together with mocha and milk chocolate. The tannins are quite soft and easy to approach. Allow your palate to navigate a firm acidity without the presence of sour undertones. Be sure to take notice of the fruitful flavors of cherries, both red and black, swirled in with mocha and chocolate. Pair this wine with some Italian-style sausages, beef wellington, or a plate of jambalaya, simply to die for. One of our best selling red blends of 2015.

Beautiful soft yellow and a hint of effervescence at time of release. Nose is incredibly lifted and wafts intensely from the glass. Pear, pineapple and subtle anise come first, with apple pie and lemon just behind it. Palate is fresh fruit salad, dominated by orchard fruit and nashi pear, finishing with tropical fruit, citrus and banana. Lots of fruit sweetness this year. Great approachability and will pair well with a large assortment of cheeses and lighter meat dishes.
